15 Sep The Bligny Band and Bugles at the Battle of Britain Parade, Shrewsbury.

Shropshire Army Cadet Force Bligny Band and Bugles did us proud on Sunday 13th September 2026.

The band was invited to be part of the parade at the War Memorial in The Quarry for a special service marking the 86th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

The service remembered the RAF aircrew who defended Britain during the summer and autumn of 1940, as well as the thousands of people who supported them on the ground and all those who have served in the RAF and Armed Forces since.

The event included a parade of RAF personnel, a Service of Commemoration, a two-minute silence and wreath laying.
