25 Oct #Skillsforlife – First Aid Training for Shropshire Army Cadets
As a charitable organisation, The Shropshire Army Cadet Force Trust has a clear vision for laying solid foundations and shaping the best opportunities for young army cadets and adult volunteers to flourish, creating opportunities to gain skills for life.
One such example is this activity that took place last weekend.

“Over the weekend at Copthorne Barracks, cadets and adults from Shropshire took part in comprehensive First Aid training, either completing refresher courses or new qualifications based on their experience and skill level. The training included 2* Youth First Aid, focusing on essential first aid skills like CPR, treating minor injuries, and responding to medical emergencies. The 3* Emergency First Aid at Work course covered more advanced techniques, including assessing workplace hazards, managing shock, and handling injuries until professional help arrives. Finally, the 4* First Aid at Work course provided in-depth training on a wide range of medical emergencies, including severe injuries, resuscitation, and prolonged care. All participants gained valuable life-saving skills to support their communities and fellow cadets.
