26 Feb Bligny Band and Bugles Training Day
Our Trust supports the Bligny Band and Bugles.
Over the last 18 months it has been great to see the group go from strength to strength.
They recently held a training day – here is some text and photos from their Facebook page:
“Today’s training session focused on enhancing our cadets’ musical proficiency, with assessments led by brigade music instructors.
As part of our progressive music training program, we conducted the 3* theory tests. Although no cadet achieved a full 3* pass this time, their progress was evident, and they are well on their way to future success.
We are pleased to celebrate the following achievements:
• Cadet Downes successfully completed the 2* flute performance and theory examinations, showcasing exceptional skill and understanding.
• Cadet Eady has been awarded 2* Music.
• Cadet Williams has been awarded 1* Music.
Cadets specializing in music follow a rigorous syllabus that develops their ability to read and interpret musical notation essentially mastering a new language. While their training focuses on musical proficiency, it also fosters valuable cognitive and analytical skills.
We commend all cadets for their dedication and hard work.
