Adult volunteers familiarisation day

Adult Familiarisation Day

It was great to hear that 3 new volunteers were going through their familiarisation training to support the Shropshire Army Cadet Force.
Embarking on a volunteering journey with the Army Cadet Force opens the door to many benefits. Whether it’s acquiring new skills, expanding your social network, embracing challenges, or gaining valuable experience, the outcome will be rewarding. No military background is necessary, as comprehensive training is provided to equip you for your role.

On 17th May, we were pleased to welcome three new CFAVs to Shropshire during the familiarisation day held at County HQ. Mark, Adam, and Jay have now begun their journey toward becoming fully qualified instructors.
Bringing with them a wealth of experience, including a long-serving Army Reservist and two former cadets, they offer a diverse range of skills and backgrounds.
Their introductory presentations gave us a fascinating glimpse into their interests, including Japanese supercars, HGV driving, and mountain biking in the Elan Valley.
We warmly welcome them to the County and wish them every success in their future with us.
