At only 13 years old, Cadet Hewitt’s score was a very credible 39, only 4 behind the Competition Winner. His talent is obvious and I sincerely hope he will take his Clay Shooting further in the future. Cadet Hewitt has been selected for the Shropshire ACF A Team for the National Inter Services Cadet Clay Competition on 8-9 June 24.
Cadet Lennon Hewitt ( Shropshire ACF – Newport Detachment) being presented with the Shropshire ACF High Gun Trophy (Best Overall ACF Shooter), by Col Nigel Sarling WM Colonel Cadets. Cadet Warren started in the Shropshire B Team but, as a result of his excellent performance on Sunday 2 Jun at the County Inter Services Competition, has now been promoted to the Shropshire ACF A Team for the National Inter Services Cadet Clay Competition on 8-9 June 24
Cadet Joseph Warren ( Shropshire ACF – Copthorne and Band& Bugles Detachment) being presented with the Shropshire ACF Runner Up Medal (2nd ACF Shooter), by Col Nigel Sarling WM Colonel Cadets. Cadet Warren started in the Shropshire B Team but, as a result of his excellent performance on Sunday 2 Jun at the County Inter Services Competition, has now been promoted to the Shropshire ACF A Team for the National Inter Services Cadet Clay Competition on 8-9 June 24.
Cadet Sergeant Misha Candlin ( Shropshire ACF – Broseley Detachment) being presented with the Shropshire ACF 3rd Place Medal, by Col Nigel Sarling WM Colonel Cadets. Sergeant Candlin is, sadly, finishing his time in the ACF after this year’s August Annual Camp, when he turns 18. He has fittingly been selected as the Team Captain of the Shropshire ACF A Team for the National Inter Services Cadet Clay Competition on 8-9 June 24.
Lance Corporal Latham shot at the County Inter Services Competition in 2023 but narrowly missed out on being selected for a place in the team for the 2023 National Clay Competition. Cadet Lathan started in the Shropshire B Team but, as a result of her excellent performance on Sunday 2 Jun at the County Inter Services Competition, she has now been promoted into the A Team for the National Inter Services Cadet Clay Competition on 8-9 June 24.
Cadet Lance Corporal Paisley Latham ( Shropshire ACF – Copthorne Detachment) being presented with the Competition Best Overall Female Shooter, by Kate McNamara. Lance Corporal Latham shot at the County Inter Services Competition in 2023 but narrowly missed out on being selected for a place in the team for the 2023 National Clay Competition. Cadet Lathan started in the Shropshire B Team but, as a result of her excellent performance on Sunday 2 Jun at the County Inter Services Competition, she has now been promoted into the A Team for the National Inter Services Cadet Clay Competition on 8-9 June 24.
