01 Oct Marking the 85th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain

On Sunday 14th September the combined Bligny Band and Bugles and cadets from 1119ATC, joined the civic parade led by the Mayor of Shrewsbury including the Deputy Lieutenant of Shropshire, the MP for Shrewsbury, civic leaders, former Mayors, Councillors, cadets, and students from the Uniformed Services Department – in . on St Chad’s Terrace before parading into the Quarry for a short service and wreath-laying.
It is so important to honour the courage of “The Few”, to support our veterans, and to inspire younger generations to carry forward the spirit of resilience, unity and service.
